Ban de la Diada Nacional 2015

Sitgetanes and sitgetans

For yet another year, the 11th of September brings us together to claim, and proclaim, our rights as a nation. Rights that are national, but that are also rights of the people, to live better, and in dignity. Rights of all Catalan citizens, regardless of their origin, language, ideas or sexual orientation. Rights and social justice, also of the more than eighty nationalities that live and co-exist in Sitges year-round.

Everyone has been convened to this Diada, because the commitment is with everyone. The country we are building excludes no one. In the coming weeks, we will all freely, democratically and peacefully decide on the Catalonia of the present and near future. But no matter the outcome, it is clear that we will continue to be a community unique in its diversity, equality and social cohesion.

On this Diada, let us stand up for our roots, and let us believe in the fullest freedom, but always as a Town united.

Visca  Catalunya!
